Notes

Six species of Rotatoria, Keratella procurva (Thorpe, 1891); Anuraeopsis fissa (Gosse, 1851); Brachionus chelonis (Alhstrom, 1940); B. budapestinensis Daday, 1885; B. dolabratus Harring, 1915 and B. mirus Daday, 1905, all new for the Argentine fresh water fauna, are reported. The genus Anuraeopsis Lauterborn, 1900 is also a new mention. Validity and morphological variability of these species are discussed; besides several details as well as their general shape are described and illustrated. The synonymy of Brachionus voigti Hauer, 1961 with B. mirus Daday, 1905, is proposed. The latter, a very polymorphic species, is redescribed and divided in the forms: typicus, voigti comb. nov. and laticaudatus f. nov. Most of the specimens examined were collected nearby Santa Fe city, in several lotic and lenitic bodies of water of the middle Parana River.
