Notes

The present article describes a set of laboratory experiments that were conducted to examine the short-term toxicity of mercury to juveniles and adults of the nematode Aphelenchus avenae. This fungivorous nematode has been considered to be an ideal biomonitoring agent because of its ability to colonize most edaphic environments and because it is relatively easy to grow and reproduce in the laboratory.
