Descriptions

Strongly ventrally curved. Cuticle appearing smooth, but with fine transverse striae under SEM; with somatic setae, the first being situated slightly less than one and one-half lip region width from the anterior end. Fine crystalloid bodies in most parts of the body. Lip region continuous with the rest of the body; with six inner labial papillae followed by six long outer labial and four shorter cephalic setae, the labial ones nearly three times as long as the cephalic ones. Mouth opening hexaradiate. Amphidial fovea with transverse-oval aperture and situated slightly more than twice the lip region width from the anterior end; immediately followed by the fusus amphidialis. Stoma funnel-shaped, well sclerotized, and with a strongly developed dorsal tooth. Pharynx cylindrical and strongly muscular. Cardia more or less circular and nearly two-fifths of the corresponding body width. Nerve ring surrounds pharynx anterior to middle. Intestinal cells clearly visible. Rectum three quarter of anal body width long. Tail filiform and long, around 40 times rectal length. Female reproductive system didelphic, amphidelphic with reflexed ovaries. Vagina with strongly sclerotized linings. Vulva situated much anterior to mid-body, because of long tail. (ref. ID; 1311)
  • Male: Males not found. (ref. ID; 1311)
