Brief Description of Research
Our laboratory has been accumulated temporally and spatially fulfilling data about water quality around Lake Kasumigaura basin. By analyzing natural abundances of stable and radioactive carbon of various kinds of organic pools, I began to study carbon cyclings in Lake Kasumigaura. One of my major interest is to analyze the coupling between the production and decomposition processes within aquatic ecosystems by measuring the C, N, and O isotope ratios of inorganic carbon and nitrate at the same time.
