Simulation of GHG by the atmospheric model NICAM

Overview

Spatial-temporal variations of an atmospheric GHG are simluated by the atmospheric model NICAM (Nonhydrostatic Icosahedral Atmospheric Model).

Global 14km simulation of atmospheric CO2 (surface)

NICAM with 14 km resolution grids simulated atmospheric CO2 near the Earth’s surface for 2019. In this simulation, the flux data optimized by the inversion analysis system NISMON-CO2 are downscaled to the 14km resolution grids.(Yamada et al., JMSJ 2025)
