グローバル・カーボン・プロジェクト(GCP)は、地球環境変化の人間社会側面に関する国際研究計画(IHDP)のInstitutional Dimensions of Global Environmental Change(IDGEC)プロジェクトとの共催により、平成18年12月5日（火）、インドネシアのグランド・ハイアット・バリに於いて、"Institutional Dimensions of the Urban and Regional Carbon Management（都市・地域における炭素管理の制度的側面）”と題した国際ワークショップを開催します。本ワークショップはIDGEC主催のIDGEC Synthesis Conferences（12月6日〜9日開催、於グランド・ハイアット・バリ）への参加者を対象に公開されます。
本ワークショップでは、都市・地域における炭素管理の立場から、「適当」「規模」「相互作用」の理論的枠組みについて議論、探求を行うとともに、炭素管理の組織的取り組みについて、実際的な面から具体化します。また、ヨーロッパやアメリカ、中国、中南米の都市でのケーススタディーに基づいて議論し、開発の側面から都市の炭素管理機会について探求を行います。
