"Japan Local Forum for Climate Change Adaptation Society" (abbr. CCAS Forum) is a part of the "S-8 Comprehensive Research Project on Climate Change Impact Assessment and Adaptation Policies" (representation: Mimura Nobuo, Ibaraki University) implemented by the Environment Research and Technology Development Fund of the Japanese Ministry of the Environment. The CCAS Forum was established in order to raise awareness on climate change impacts among local governments and to promote the systematic development of adaptation options, through the application of scientific methods such as projecting future climate change impacts.

The purpose of this website is to disseminate the results of research obtained from the S-8 Project, “Comprehensive Research on Climate Change Impact Assessment and Adaptation Policies,” implemented by the Environment Research and Technology Development Fund of the Ministry of the Environment, Japan.
