研究概要

大気汚染物質が気道（鼻から肺までの空気の通る道）の持つ免疫を制御する機能にどのような影響をおよぼすか明らかにすることが研究の中で最も興味のあるところです。大気汚染物質に暴露されると気道のこの免疫を制御する機能が乱されることを示唆する結果が得られています。この乱れが喘息や花粉症の原因になる可能性について検討しています。


Research Interests

Major interest of my research is to clarify the effect of air pollutants on immuno-regulatory functions of airway cells. The results suggest that exposure to air pollutants could put this immuno-regulatory activity in the airway into disorder. Studies whether this diorder could cause allergic diseases, such as asthma and pollinosis, are in progress.
