2013 Bulletin Report on Heatstroke Patients
The data here provide the most up-to-date incidence rates of heatstroke
collected with the help of the fire departments in each jurisdiction. (Note)
Weather data used here were provided by the Japan Meteorological Agency on its HP. The weather data for Sapporo, Sendai, Saitama, Chiba, the 23-ward area of Tokyo, the Tama area of Tokyo, Yokohama, Niigata, Shizuoka, Hamamatsu, Nagoya, Kusatsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Sakai/Takaishi, Kobe, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka were the weather data for Sapporo, Sendai, Saitama, Chiba, Chiyoda, Hachioji, Yokohama, Niigata, Shizuoka, Hamamatsu, Nagoya, Otsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Sakai, Kobe, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka, respectively. The weather data for Kawasaki and Kitakyushu were collected by the Air Pollution Monitoring Bureau (national Kawasaki station and Kitakyushu station). The weather data of Hokubu Public Health Center, Miyako Public Health Center, and Yaeyama Public Health Center in Okinawa Prefecture were the weather data for Nago, Miyakojima, and Ishigakijima, respectively. The weather data of Chubu Public Health Center, Nanbu Public Health Center, and Chuo Public Health Center were the weather data for Naha.
