IDGEC Synthesis Conference Side Event: International Workshop on "Institutional Dimensions of the Urban and Regional Carbon Management"



DESCRIPTION

The Global Carbon Project (GCP), National Institute for Environment Studies(NIES) and Institutional Dimensions of Global Environmental Change (IDGEC) project of IHDP are jointly organizing one day international workshop entitled "Institutional Dimensions of the Urban and Regional Carbon Management" on 5th December in Grand Hyatt Bali, Indonesia.

The workshop will discuss and explore theoretical framework of "fit", "scale" and "interplay" applied in the contexts of urban and regional carbon management as well as clarify the practical dimensions of carbon management related institutional challenges. The workshop will also discuss case studies from European cities, US cities, Chinese cities, and Latin American Cities and explore urban carbon management opportunity from the "development" perspectives.
