- This database, based
on the data provided by the United Nations Environment Programme's INFOTERRA
Programme Activity Centre, has been developed and maintained by the Environmental
Information Center of the National Institute for Environmental Studies.
- Using browsers supporting
multiple panels such as Netscape 2.x
or above, you can use the database with the reference field.
- You can search any
of the following fields in the database. Five digit code is based on the 4th
edition of the EnVoc Multilingual Thesaurus of Environmental Terms.
- Region or Country
... 5 digit code or term for the region or country.
- Term ... 5
digit code or term for the categories, subcategories and terms.
- Geographic attributes
... 5 digit code or term for the geographic attributes.
- Nature of the
source ... 5 digit code or term for the types of information sources.
- Name (or portion
thereof) of information source organization ... This field requires
texts in capitals, not codes.
