Torodrilus lowryi n. gen., n. sp. (Oligochaeta, Tubificidae) from an Antarctic marine environment (Arthur Harbour, Anvers Island) is characterized by modified genital setae on the ninth and eleventh segments, glands associated with the spermathecal setae, a thick-walled atrial muscle coat, a prostate gland without a distinct duct, and few coelomocytes. The genus is probably most nearly related to Monopylephorus (Rhyacodrilinae).
