Notes

Paramecium duboscqui Chatton & Brachon, 1933, was rediscovered in Harbin, China, in 1974. In addition to the morphological features described by Chatton and Brachon, more details such as the silver-line system, buccal apparatus, stomatogenetic pattern, mating types and temperature adaptation are described here. Although minor differences exist between the strains from France and China, the evidence indicates that they are really the same species and a member of the "bursaria" group.
