Notes

Lamprortus orientalis Rodriguez gen. nov., sp. nov. is identifiable as a member of the Lumbriculidae by virtue of the prosoporous male ducts, but is unique in the family, as it is consistently hologynous. The elongate atria, single vas deferens on each atrium, and spermathecae located in the post-ovarian segment indicate a relationship to Lamprodrilus and related genera distributed from Siberia through eastern Asia to western North America.
