Notes

Notholetus spicatus n. gen., n. sp. is described from Hawaiian orchids. Notholetus differs from Nothocriconema by having distinct lobes, spines, or deformities on the tail. Notholetus also differs from Merocriconema by having more body annules (53-86 versus 38-43) and a pointed tail. Notholetus spicatus n. sp. differs from N. spinicaudatus n. comb. in having a longer stylet (104-106 µm versus 70-82 µm) and two head annules instead of one. Other new combination include Notholetus corbetti, Notholetus victoriae, and Notholetus zeae. A key to the species is provided.
