Notes

Three marine rotifer, Colurella unicauda sp. nov., Encentrum bidentatum (Lie-Pettersen), and Encentrum flexilis sp. nov. are described and figured with notes on their ecology. Earlier records concerning the first two species are discussed. These three species were among 28 marine rotifers found during three years of investigations in the vicinity of Bergen. The material was mostly taken from shore-pools, but also from sublittoral algae and sediments on more open coast as well as in brackish landlocked fjords and inlets. Nine species were new to Norway. All 36 marine rotifers hitherto found in Norway are listed, with occurrence and recording authors. A few notes on taxonomy and ecology are given.
