Notes

Soil protozoa constitute a permanent component of natural and anthropogenic biogeocenoses. Their species composition and distribution are functions of the number of abiotic (humidity, temperature, soil chemical and physical properties, subsoil) and biotic (microflora, vegetation cover) factors. In their turn, protozoa affect greatly the composition of microorganisms and their physiological activity, exerting favourable effects on plant growth. The specifity of distribution of Protozoa in soils of different regions. (podzolic zone, regions of Azerbaijan and West Siberia) is described. The protozoa fauna of rhyzosphere of agricultural plants (cereals, cultivated crops and subtropical cultures) is considered.
