26) Conochiloides coenobasis Skorikov ?, the male incertae sedis: Several specimens of the adult male under free swimming condition were collected from M1 on 15/XII,'54. Body cylindrical, 103 µm in length, 32-34 µm (at the widest) and 16-18 µm (at the narrowest) in width. Neither cone-shaped projection nor auricles with ciliary tuft on the head. Two apical eyes bearing no lens. Brain 20x15 µm. Between brain and sperm sac three globular masses, each 12x12 µm, one with an oil drop, others like gastric glands. Each protonephridium with 5 flame bulbs. Complexes of grandular canals at the base of the testis. Muscular system obsolate. Large pyriform testis containing about 13 spermatozoa. Ductus seminalis 27 µm in length, 6 µm in diameter. Gonopore 5-7 µm in diameter, with a tuft of long cilia. Chitinous penis, 12 µm by 2 µm, with an apophysis. Six pairs of prostate glands; the largest 10x12 µm, the smallest 2-3 µm in diameter. Foot glands on both distal sides of the trunk. The animal may be regarded as the male of Conochiloides coenobasis judging from a comparative study of the life histories of various species of the family. The present male is easily distinguished from Danish Conochilus hippocrepsis in shape and size of the body, the absence of cone-shaped disk, lens of eyes and large sized foot glands, further in the presence of a well developed excretory organ. 27) Lecane luna (O.F. Muller)?, the male incertae sedis: Collected from M1 on 23/XI,'55. Body conical 162 µm long, 52 µm wide, 53 µm high. Head 35 by 40 µm, clearly separated from the trunk. Lorica weakly developed but with acute projections on both occipital margins. One large, red cerebral eye. Dorsal feeler(?) slightly behind on the trunk. A large spherical vesicle, 12x12 µm, in the middle of the body. Ductus seminalis 35 µm long, 7 µm in diameter, in which a large chitinous penis, as found in Cephalodella, intrudes. Two pairs of small foot glands (2x3 µm) at the base of the toes, 22x3 µm in size. The foot comparatively long, with 7-8 annulations. Some specimens of the adult male only were collected in free swimming state. This male may be referable to Lecane luna in spite of the fact that it differs from Lecane spp., e.g. L. levistyla, L. perpusilla (Wiszniewski '34,'36, Voigt '56,'57), in the presence of a rather long, tapering foot with several annulations. The present author would like to consider Cochleare (Voigt '04), a rarest European genus, simply to be the male of a species, Lecane luna (or male of Liliferotrocha) (cf. Wiszniewski '36). The genus Cochleare Gosse 1858, therefore, should be annulled.
