Notes

By comparison of the characteristics found especially in the structure of the mastax it is demonstrated, that Proales sigmoidea and P. daphnicola are two distinctly separated good species. We can suppose that the exterior resemblance between frequently found rotifers is the reason why up to now P. sigmoidea has been found so seldom and could be identified for Central Europe only now.
