Notes

Thirty five species were found in 6 localities in sand beaches. The finding of Pomoriella valkanovi Gol. in the Baltic sea is of zoogeographical interest as it is known only from the Black sea so far, in localities where the salinity is between 15.8 and 17.6 per mill. Psamoxenic species (15) were dominating, followed by psamobiontic (11) and psamophilous (9). The large percent (69%) of psamoxenic and psamophilous species in the interstitial thecamoeban taxocenosis of the Finn Bay is explained by the low salinity of the ground waters in this part of the Baltic sea.
