Descriptions

Lorica broader at anterior end. Dorsum with 2 small lateral spines at posterior end. Foot opening circular with segmented foot. Toes slender, long tapering. (ref. ID; 1806)

It resembles a Lecane, but the conspicuous lateral antennae on a cylindrical base (not under a thorn), the large foot-opening and the toes are diagnostic. (ref. ID; 1850)

Remane (1929) includes this species in Trichotria. (ref. ID; 1923)

Measurements

Lorica length 95-120; dorsal lorica width 50-64; ventral lorica width 65-80; foot opening 30x40; toes length 25 µm. (ref. ID; 1850)
