Diagnosis

In previous publications of rotifers from the Amazon, Hauer (1965) used the genus name Eudactylota while Koste (1972) and others used the name Beauchampiella. In studies of the nomenclature of this taxa, De Ridder (1981) points out that Eudactylota Manfredi (1927) is not available because there exists an Eudactylota Walsingham 1911 (Lepidoptera). Also, the genus proposal of the genus name Manfredium is correct. (ref. ID; 2808)

Measurements

M. eudactylotum occurred frequently in the samples and some specimens with toe lengths of 360 µm, reached an overall length of 760 µm. (ref. ID; 2808)
