Eyespot absent. Body not strongly tapering posteriorly. Two toes. Common during spring in stock ponds and puddles containing much organic matter. Body length 300-600 um long. (ref. ID; 1663)

Description; The easily recognizable animal swims very fast, in a straight line turning around its axis and changes direction at obstacles only. The uncus has four teeth. (ref. ID; 1806)

Description; Large, saccate, very transparent animal; contracted specimens are easily mistaken for an Asplanchna, but the corona is brown. Trophi large, malleoramate, unci with seven fused teeth, different from the figure shown in Kutikova (1970, Fig. 734). Fulcrum short, in sideview broad and scalloped, manubria slightly curved. (ref. Body transparent, sacciform, arched dorsally more towards posterior side and nearly straight ventrally. Corona bears five styligerous prominences, each provided with a fan-like arrangement of the slender styles. There is a dorsal antenna. Mastax of the malleate type. Gonad ribbon shaped and bent like a horse-shoe. Foot short with two very small toes. It feeds on other rotifers. (ref. ID; 1929)

Description; Body saccate with 3 tufts of cilia on anterior end. Dorsal antenna clearly visible in lateral view. Foot long and wrinkled. In ovigerous female, it bends over the egg. Toes short and blunt. Resting eggs spherical and with numerous minute hair-like projections. Parthenogenetic eggs smaller than resting eggs but larger than mictic eggs. (ref. ID; 1806)
