Remarks

The genus is created by elevation of the subgenus defined by Brinkhurst (1965). The position of G. africanus depends on the resolution of the opening of the spermathecal pore, assumed to be simply dorsal with a verstibule by me, not into the penis sac as originally described (or even into ventral vestibulae as in Astacopsidrilus q.v).
