Descriptions

Body after fixation from slightly to strongly ventrally coiled, tapering especially posteriorly. Cuticle with marked transverse striae starting around one lip region width from the anterior end. Somatic setae distribution uneven and variable from specimen to specimen, 5-7 in the neck region, 5-13 between cardia and anus and 2-12 on tail. Fine dot-like crystalloid bodies all over the body. Lip region unstriated, continuous with the remainder of the body. Six outer labial and four cephalic setae in one whorl situated on the lip region. Labial setae slightly more than one and one half times cephalic setae, with a slightly anteriorly curved tip. Amphid aperture transverse oval, situated slightly more than two lip region widths from the anterior end. Stoma anteriorly barrel-shaped, 1.3 times longer than wide, posteriorly followed by a very short irregular funnel-shaped part with a blunt dorsal tooth-like projection. Posterior part of stoma surrounded by pharynx. Pharynx cylindrical, muscular, narrowing where it passes through the nerve ring i.e. anterior to middle. Cardia oval, 0.5-0.6 times corresponding body width, and it is anteriorly surrounded by four elongate-oval centrally transparent cells. Excretory pore and ventral gland not observed. A glandular structure with a non-sclerotized dorsal pore is situated about 24(18-29) µm from the end of the pharynx. It has a more or less oval or longitudinally elongated shape. Rectum 0.7 times anal body width. Tail steadily tapering, filiform, 20 times rectal length, terminating in a dorsal hook-like mucro. Female reproductive system didelphic amphidelphic with reflexed ovaries. No spematozoans in mature females. Vagina one-fifth of the corresponding body width. Vulva anterior to mid-body. (ref. ID; 1311)
  • Male: Male not found. (ref. ID; 1311)

    Measurements

Body length 747.4+/-38.0(707-809) µm, maximum body width 23.5+/-1.9(21-26) µm, pharyngeal length measured from the anterior end 185.4+/-3.8(179-189) µm, tail length 235.4+/-23.6(202-267) µm, anal body width 16.5+/-1.8(15-20) µm, lip region width 12.6+/-0.4(12-13) µm, labial seta length 9.0+/-1.1(8-11) µm, cephalic seta length 3.9+/-1.5(4-7) µm, stoma length 9.0+/-0.7(8-10) µm, stoma width 6.6+/-0.4(6-7) µm, amphid anterior body end 27.0+/-2.0(25-29) µm, nerve ring from the anterior end 84.5+/-5.2(79-93) µm, rectal length 11.4+/-0.4(10-12) µm. Descriptions

Body after fixation curved ventrad, tapering especially posteriorly. Cuticle with transverse striae. Four somatic setae clearly seen on tail, setae being inconspicuous in other parts of the body. Head continuous with rest part of the body. Six long outer labila setae and four shorter cephalic setae situated on the lip region in one whorl. Stoma barrel-shaped, 1.3 times longer than wide. Amphidial aperture transverse oval, situated around 3.3 times lip region from the anterior end. Pharynx cylindrical, surrounded by nerve ring slightly anterior to two-thirds of its length. Cardia more or less oval in shape, wider than long and anteriorly it is surrounded by four elongate-oval centrally transparent cells. Intestine with a weakly developed progaster. Rectum 0.7 times anal body widths long. Tail steadily tapering, 18 rectal lengths long, terminating in a small mucro. Female reproductive system didelphic, amphidelphic, with reflexed ovaries.
