Definition

Buccal cavity about twice as long as wide, dorsal tooth in anterior half of cavity directed forward and opposed by denticles arranged along two longitudinal ribs. Esophagointestinal junction nontuberculate. Female didelphic, ovaries reflexed. Egg shells smooth, ridged, or punctate. Tails generally short, conoid arcuate and without caudal glands and terminal duct (P. thiocrenobius an exception). Males rare. (ref. ID; 5938)
