Definition

Lip region set off from body, buccal cavity barrel shaped. Dorsal tooth in posterior half of buccal cavity, apex directed anteriorly, opposed by two longitudinal rows of denticles occupying slightly more than the posterior half of the subventral wall of the buccal cavity. Esophagointestinal junction tuberculate. Female didelphic or monodelphic, ovaries or ovary reflexed. Tails of both sexes similar, elongated with caudal glands and terminal ducts. Male described for two of the three known species. (ref. ID; 5938)

Differential diagnosis

Parahadronchus n. gen. differs from Hadronchus Mulvey and Jensen, 1967 by position of the dorsal tooth, number and location of the denticles, tail shape, and presence of caudal glands and terminal duct. (ref. ID; 5938)
