    Ogma coffeae (ref. ID; 5848)

    Notes

Ogma gracile cannot be separated satisfactorily from O. coffeae by stylet length (58-79 vs. 58-68 µm), number of annules (78-88 vs. 75-85), vulva position (annules 11-14) or the number of scale rows (10 vs. 8-10). Scale shape, head, tail, and vulva structure all appear to be similar. Ogma gracile, therefore is synonymized with O. coffeae. Examination of O. gracile specimens indicated that the terminus is not a single elongate conical annule as depicted by Mehta and Raski (1971) but is composed of three or four smaller annules, similar to that illustrated for O. coffeae by Edward et al. (1970). (ref. ID; 5848)

Ogma rhosimium (Khan et al., 1976) Andrassy, 1979

    See

    Ogma simlaensis (ref. ID; 5848)

    Notes

Ogma rhosimium was stated to differ from O. simlaensis by the presence of submedian lobes (stated as absent in O. simlaensis) and by vulva and anus position. Original illustrations of both species show the presence of four submedian lobes. The vulva and anus in O. rhosimium are on annules 11-13 and 9 respectively and not on annules 9 and 4 as stated by Khan et al. (1976). Based on stylet length (59-65 vs. 60-65 µm) number of annules (67-72 vs. 68) vulva position (annules 11-13 vs. 13-16), 10 scale rows, and the shape of the head, tail, and scales, these species are not sufficiently different to justify specific separation and, therefore, O. rhosimium is synonymized with O. simlaensis.
