Neolobocriconema Mehta & Raski, 1971 (ref. ID; 5958)

ref. ID; 5958

Diagnosis

Female body 0.34-0.75 mm. Annules 39-46, 9-17 um thick, strongly crenate, distinctly so on tail which may also have lobes. Head annule usually one, rarely two. Lip region elevated. Submedian lobes moderate. Stylet 68-122 um. Vulva closed. Tail three to eight annules, rounded conical. VL/VB=1(0.7-1.2). (ref. ID; 5958)
  • Juveniles (male and female fourth stage): Annules with 8-16 rows of spined scales. (ref. ID; 5958)
  • Male: Unknown. (ref. ID; 5958)

    Differential diagnosis

Neolobocriconema differs for Lobocriconema by having very coarsely crenate body annules typically with lobation of the tail. Lobocriconema has smooth to finely crenate annules and tail lobation is absent. (ref. ID; 5958)
