Diagnosis

Female body 0.22-0.39 mm. Annules 38-43, coarse, smooth in anterior half becoming scalloped at midbody, elongating into eight rows of scales on tail. Head annules two. Lip region elevated. Small submedian lobes present. Stylet 57-69 um, rigid. Vulva closed. Tail five to seven annules rounded conical, VL/VB=1. (ref. ID; 5958)
  • Juvenile female (fourth stage): Annules with 10-12 rows of cuticular projections of varying length. (ref. ID; 5958)
  • Male: Unknown. (ref. ID; 5958)

    Remarks

    An enface of M. braziliensis was examined and found to have small submedian lobes and not pseudolips as indicated by Raski and Pinochet (1975). (ref. ID; 5958)
