Comments

The only member of the genus Oxnerella was recorded once by its author, and therefore it is not EM studied. This is why we cannot be sure that its fine cell organization corresponds to that in other centrohelids. So, the position of O. maritima is Centroheliozoa seems to be rather doubtful in spite of the term "central granule" (= centroplast) which was first introduced by Dobell just for the central organelle of this organism.
