Descriptions

Cells are attached to the substrate, dorsal surface convex. Radiating occasionally branching pseudopodia with extrusomes extend from the cell and normally adhere to the substrate. Two short curved flagella resembling the letter "S" on the dorsal side of the cell. (ref. ID; 4872)

Measurements

Cell diameter 5 um, with a range of 4.2-7 um. Previously reported size range 2.5-5 um (Patterson & Fenchel 1990), 3-9 um (Larsen & Patterson 1990; Vors 1992). (ref. ID; 4872)
