Biodiversity Resource Conservation Section

In order to contribute to research and monitoring on biodiversity and ecosystem conservation, especially in marine and freshwater environments, The Biodiversity Resource Conservation Section performs basic research on bioresource conservation of algae and related protists. The research includes the development of DNA barcording and accumulation of genetic and other information. The Section also collects, maintains, and distributes algal strains as research materials.
