In response to these circumstances, the Biodiversity Division conducts surveys and research on the ecological structure and functions of various organisms on earth and their relationships in order to identify the influence of human activities on biodiversity and the ecosystem at various scales. In addition, we promote the environmental research infrastructure related to these surveys and research.
We also contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable use of ecosystem services by widely disseminating scientific knowledge to society.
