Route Accidental: Hitchhiking on building materials and/or garden trees, in the cases of other countries. The Florida invasive population might be introduced by hitchhiking on transport of plants (e.g., Bromelia).
Impact Potentially: Competition with native frogs. Predation on native invertebrates.
Regulation in Japan Import, transport and keeping are prohibited in Japan by the Invasive Alien Species Act.
A congener E. planirostris is also restricted.
Introduced range in other countries Lesser Antilles (St. Thomas Is., St. John Is., Virgin Islands), southern part of Florida, Hawaii, Galapagos, etc.
