Range in Japan Daito Islands (Kitadaitojima and Minamidaitojima Is.). This subspecies was also established in northern Okinawajima Is., but probably eradicated in late 1980s to mid 1990s. Range in Japan

Date 1970s in Daito Is. 1975 or 1976 in Okinawajima Is.
Route Deliberate: For biological control of agricultural pests in Daito Islands. Release of education material in Okinawajima Is.
Impact Potentially: Predation of soil dwelling invertebrates.

Regulation in Japan No action for prevention, mitigation, control, or eradication.
