Natural range Taiwan including peripheral islands (Xiaoliuqiu, Ludao, and Lanyu), 1500 m or less alt. area.
Habitat Lowland forest and forest edge. This species often occur disturbed habitat such as nearby human house, park, fruit garden, etc.

Range in Japan Kanagawa,Miyazaki,and Eastern side of Tenryu River in Iwata, Shizuoka Pref. Range in Japan
Origin Taiwan (possibly)
Date The first record was in 2006, at Iwata, Shizuoka Pref.
Route Accidental: With imported plant from Taiwan.
