Tripartite Presidents Meeting (Japan-Korea-China)

The Tripartite Presidents Meeting was first convened in Beijing in 2004, as a means to further research ties and collaboration among the three countries (Japan-Korea-China) via discussions and workshops involving the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES - Japan), the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER - Korea), and the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES - China). Each year, one of the three institutions plays host to TPM.

The eight priority research area designated for collaboration at TPM are:

2. Asian Air Pollution
3. Urban Environment and Eco-city
4. Dust and Sand Storm
5. Chemical Risk and Management
6. Biodiversity Conservation
7. Solid Waste Management
8. Climate Change
